Watercolor is hard enough to learn traditionally and that’s why bringing it into the digital realm is so satisfying, you leave the mess behind (usually!). Understanding your graphic software is essentially to creating a convincing traditional look to fool your viewers and masks, I find, are a major player in this effort.

I attempt I this video to reveal the fundamental strategy to create convincing water color graphical assets using opacity masks and the symbols sprayer brush in Adobe Illustrator. There is a small purchasable file with assets to help you dive right in but everything you need is explained in the video, for free.

Feel free to email me with any questions you may have about the process and enjoy creating some awesome digital watercolor designs!
